I admit it; I love to surf home decor websites and scour home design magazines. It’s like a religious experience for me. I love seeing what’s new, what trends are holding people’s interests and what ‘fads’ have fallen off the radar screen. From furniture to lighting; paint colors to the little touches which declare your personal stamp, I’m all about the things that will stand the test of time. Will I still LOVE IT in 5 years and will it work with what I already have? Yes must be answered to both questions before I proceed.

Who wants to spend money (regardless of the amount) only to discover the ‘look’ you thought would do wonders for your home is not really working? We’ve all done it. Anyone who tells you they haven’t is either lying or doesn’t own a home!
Having ‘been there, done that’, I now spend the necessary time doing my homework on any additions and/or changes I may make to my home decor; large or small, costly or fabulous bargain. Here are a few things I’ve seen lately that would make great additions to any timber frame home. In other words, they passed my ‘test questions’.
This petite chandelier from Ballard's has intrigued me for years as it would look great in so many places. From bathroom to bedroom to reading knook on a screened in porch, this light adds the WOW factor.
This Foreign Correspondent's Desk from Mothology is fabulous. Just enough space for all your needs and a great looking piece for any room in your house.
The Black Forest Wall Shelf from Wisteria is a winner. I intend to order one today to use in my guest bathroom as a toilet tissue holder. Now there's a conversation piece!
This Delano Headboard from Restoration Hardware has been on my wish list for a while now.
